Fr. John O'Connor: The Marxist Destruction of Western Civilization

Vox Catholica

In this talk, Fr. John O'Connor O.P. lays out the destruction, subversion and infiltration of Western Governments by revolutionary Marxists and communists.

Father O'Connor discusses the foundation of the Federal Reserve, the destructive power of usury, and the takeover of our government by Radical Leftists.

Father John O’Conner was a Dominican priest, born in Chicago in 1929. He studied at Notre Dame University and joined the Order of Preachers in 1949. He obtained degrees in philosophy and theology, and was ordained to the Catholic priesthood in San Francisco in 1955. He taught in Catholic colleges in Madison, Wisconsin and Austin, Texas from 1955 to 1966. He was associate pastor in New Orleans from 1966-1969, and since then, as a Dominican preacher, he has travelled over 300,000 miles over the United States and Canada giving missions and retreats to the laity.

Information Overload and the Memory Hole

The past few months in the U.S. and abroad have flown by at almost supersonic speeds. Maybe it’s because I’m getting older, or maybe it’s because of the incredible number of developments in world politics and religion, coupled with the overwhelming tidal wave of information inundating us in our media-saturated world. According to Quora, a popular Q&A website, the average daily edition of The New York Times is around 150,000 words. It’s twice that number on Sundays. Now, if you can read 300 words per minute and don’t need to eat, drink, get up to stretch, etc., you could finish that Sunday newspaper in roughly 16.7 hours. It would take 2.7 days to read all The New York Times papers published in a week. Now, add to that every other newspaper, television show, talk radio show, news blog, Twitter, and books coming out every week, and it becomes immediately clear how serious our hyperactive, gluttonous information consumption problem is.

static1.squarespace.jpg

The sheer volume and frequency of distractions, dings, updates, notifications and disruptions in the modern world has literally re-wired our brains and given rise to the phenomenon of the “Memory Hole”. The Memory Hole is defined as “an imaginary place where inconvenient or unpleasant information is put and quickly forgotten.”

Some things over the past few months that have been thrown down the Memory Hole include:

An incident at YouTube, where a woman (resettled in the U.S. as a refugee), disgruntled with YouTube’s practices of limiting the reach of certain posts, shot and wounded 3 YouTube staffers before killing herself.

The detention of Brittany Pettibone, a young Traditional Catholic and Identitarian activist, along with Martin Sellner; and a few days later, the detention and interrogation of Lauren Southern under the “Article 7 Terrorism Act” in the United Kingdom for handing out satirical flyers that said “Allah is a gay god,” which is tantamount to the enforcement of Islamic blasphemy laws in the U.K.

The rise of the #120db movement in Europe, started by victims of rape (some as young as 11 and 12 years old) who have been assaulted by migrants. This issue barely even made a blip on the radar in the States, no doubt, because the narrative has been deemed “Islamophobic” and thus counter-productive to the leftist push for migrant resettlement.

And last but not least, of course, the Pope’s scandalous comments to Italian reporter Eugenio Scalfari – now dubbed “HellGate” – have likewise been thrown down the Memory Hole, after about 24 hours of discussion in the mainstream media. All of these stories are going to be critical to understanding and framing our discussion on some comments made in the Pope’s latest “Apostolic Exhortation” (whatever that means, these days) Gaudete et Exultate (“Rejoice and Be Glad”) on the Call to Holiness in Today’s World.

Hell Does Exist, But Only for People Like Me

There is obviously a truckload of problems with this new exhortation (Christopher Ferrara recently exposed a number of them), but there are two paragraphs, in particular, that caught my eye (and raised my blood pressure to dangerous levels): Paragraphs 102 and 115.

francis_ceo-678x381.jpg

Only two weeks have gone by since Pope Francis “allegedly” (I use this term quite loosely, in light of certain evidence) stated that Hell doesn’t exist, and that the souls of the damned just “disappear” and dissolve into oblivion. And now, apparently by some new “revelation” (from the infamous “God of Surprises”), Pope Francis has reversed course, deciding that Hell does exist, but only for people like me (a traditionalist, “neo-Pelagian”, “xenophobic”, “hate-filled” “Islamophobe”). Here is the applicable paragraph from Gaudete et Exultate:

115. Christians too can be caught up in networks of verbal violence through the internet and the various forums of digital communication. Even in Catholic media, limits can be overstepped… The result is a dangerous dichotomy, since things can be said there that would be unacceptable in public discourse, and people look to compensate for their own discontent by lashing out at others. It is striking that at times, in claiming to uphold the other commandments, they completely ignore the eighth, which forbids bearing false witness or lying, and ruthlessly vilify others. Here we see how the unguarded tongue, set on fire by hell, sets all things ablaze (cf. Jam. 3:6).

If people like Chris Ferrara, Steve Skojec, Matt Gaspers, etc. are going to Hell for speaking the truth, at least I’ll be in good company.

Of particular interest is the phrase “unacceptable in public discourse,” which is tantamount to saying “politically incorrect speech.” Political Correctness is, of course, a Marxist tool, a defensive measure, and the counterpart to Critical Theory, the offensive tool of Cultural Marxism. Both of these tools – Political Correctness and Critical Theory – were developed by rabid anti-Catholics at the behest of Vladimir Lenin, under the watchful eye of György Lukács and the Frankfurt School of Marxist philosophers.

static1.squarespace-1.jpg

The kind of speech Pope Francis believes is “unacceptable in public discourse” includes things like “Allah is a gay god,” “Europe should not become Islamic,” “Muslim rape and grooming gangs are a problem,” and of course, “The Pope is promoting heresy”. Mind you, we have professors running around the country like Dr. Tat siong Benny Liew, the Chair of New Testament Studies at the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts (a Jesuit School), who actively claims that Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, was a "gay, genderfluid drag king who…" (the rest is too obscene to reprint). I mean, I cringe even just retyping that grotesque headline from Pink News. And yet, the Pope remains silent on Professor Liew, not to mention on the notorious heretic and homosexualist Fr. James Martin, S.J.

So, are Brittany Pettibone, Martin Sellner, and Lauren Southern going to Hell for essentially taking the same headline and running a social experiment on the streets of London, replacing Jesus with Allah? In Pope Francis’ world, definitely. It’s interesting to note that this trio was only able to conduct their experiment for a few minutes before Muslims on the streets of London became so irate that the police told Southern to shut down their booth and pack up their materials; otherwise, their safety could not be guaranteed. On the first Easter Sunday, the Apostles were in hiding for “fear of the Jews” (John 20:19). Today, we are being told to hide for fear of the Muslims.

The Migrant Crisis

Returning to the Pope’s exhortation, the migrant crisis is specifically mentioned in paragraph 102:

102. We often hear it said that, with respect to relativism and the flaws of our present world, the situation of migrants, for example, is a lesser issue. Some Catholics consider it a secondary issue compared to the “grave” bioethical questions. That a politician looking for votes might say such a thing is understandable, but not a Christian, for whom the only proper attitude is to stand in the shoes of those brothers and sisters of ours who risk their lives to offer a future to their children. Can we not realize that this is exactly what Jesus demands of us, when He tells us that in welcoming the stranger we welcome Him (cf. Matt. 25:35)? Saint Benedict did so readily, and though it might have “complicated” the life of his monks, he ordered that all guests who knocked at the monastery door be welcomed “like Christ”, with a gesture of veneration; the poor and pilgrims were to be met with “the greatest care and solicitude”.

This paragraph, for me, is one of the most offensive and ignorant things the Pope has ever stated, and yes, for me this surpasses “HellGate”.

By some incredibly false line of reasoning, the Pope tries to draw an equivalence between ending abortion and accepting migrants in our Western countries to the point of “veneration”. This is something any sane Catholic must reject out of hand, as the sin of abortion (i.e. murder) cries to Heaven for vengeance, whereas the national defense of a country against foreign invaders (with whom Catholics have been at war for over a millennia) is not only a right but a duty of civil authorities. Protecting our sons and daughters from rape gangs (whose members, at least in the U.K., overwhelmingly share Middle-Eastern/migrant backgrounds) is not an act of hatred or violence, but an act of love for our children. If rejecting such migrants would mean a substantial drop in these and other heinous crimes (e.g. murders, stabbings, acid attacks, bombings), it seems a “no-brainer” to keep them out. These things are not minor “complications” in any way comparable to the “complications” the monks at St. Benedict’s monastery had to deal with.

static1.squarespace-2.jpg

When we allow these Muslim migrants into our Western countries, we are inviting not our “brothers and sisters” (as the Pope would have us believe), but an invading force of anti-Christian hoards, who worship a false “god” (ultimately, the devil – see Psalm 95:5) and ever more rapidly erode the Christian roots of our already decaying cultures.

To say that Jesus “demands of us” a warm reception and veneration of these Islamic migrants (whose stated goal is to turn Europe into a caliphate) is tantamount to blasphemy.

We must reject these suicidal notions of “tolerance” being propagated by the radical Left, including even the current Pope. We must defend our divinely revealed Catholic Faith. We must protect our countries from being subdued by these foreign invaders. And finally, we must not forget that a good defense requires a strong offense, which means once again Christianizing our countries and actively fighting for the Social Kingship of Christ in all of our affairs.

Do not allow this self-described “revolutionary” Pope to continue aiding in the brainwashing of our real Christian brothers and sisters, and do not be afraid to take a stand for God and Country. Failure to do so will result in Western Civilization itself being thrown down the Memory Hole.

Bishop Tissier: On Marriage and The Family - 1992

Vox Catholica

This is an INCREDIBLE and previously un-published talk of Bishop Bernard Tissier de Mallerais given in Ridgefield Connecticut on July 10, 1992 about the Christian Family and Education.

Since the family is the basic building block of society, without strong families, we will not have strong societies.

The good Bishop speaks of the great Islamic Replacement happening in Western Countries (and many years before this became a main-stream talking point) and warns that if Christians do not have big families, we will lose our societies.

Here are some notable quotations:

2:30 And so what the Conciliar Church no longer wants, and what the Conciliar Church has excommunicated, is not only the true bishops and the true priests, it is not only the Mass of Tradition, but it is all the bastions of the Catholic Faith.  I quote only the words of Cardinal Ratzinger… Several years ago Cardinal Ratzinger said with Hans Urs Von Balthazar, a heretical theologian, “we must say the must urgent thing today is the demolition of the bastions” he said. A cardinal. “The dismantling of the bastions”. And what are these bastions, the bastions of the catholic faith? The bastions of Catholicism? They are the Catholic Family, Catholic Schools, Catholic Churches, Catholic Mass, Catholic Catechisms, Catholic Civil Laws, Catholic Governments, and finally Catholic States. On the contrary, we are for these bastions. It is a mission of the priestly society of Saint Pius the X, to rebuild these bastions of the Catholic Faith. To rebuild these destroyed bastions of the Catholic Faith. And we have begun with the Catholic Mass and the Priesthood 22, 23 years ago in Switzerland with Archbishop LeFebvre. We have continued with our chapels, seminaries naturally, with our priories, because the priests must live a life of community… But this work would be totally useless if it is not continued with catholic families and catholic schools.

11:45 The Catholic Family is normally, if god allows it, permits it, the large family. A family with many children. Christian England, Christian France, Christian America, must not die for want of children. Must not die Islamized, oh yes. This is a great danger in France especially, and also in your country (America) to die Islamized. Because the only families with many children are Traditionalist families, and Islamic families. It is so in France. And so the Conciliar race is an endangered species. Deo Gratias, I would say. But it is dangerous, the Islamic people are very many, naturally. So only Tradition, only strong convictions are fruitful.

It is a fact that demonstrate it. Liberalism, Conciliarism, lead to sterility. They are sterile. The fruits of Vatican II, it is childless families, dead families. And especially the root of the problem is the new conception of marriage given by Vatican II. It is in Vatican II!

35:34 It is very sad to see the new type of christian family. Husband, wife, a boy and a girl. It is the typical family. A typical modern family. Television everywhere, with the advertising. A husband a wife, and a boy and a girl. It is false! Once I was driving my car and before me was another car. On the front seat was Mr. DuPont and Mrs. DuPont, you know, and on the back seat, was the dog. The model of the new Christian family. Of the Conciliar family. Mr., Mrs., and the dog. What an awful idea of marriage.

39:14 People marry, and especially in the Conciliar families, and also in the non-Catholic families, people marry and say “we will have two children, and only two children!” And if they say this, with a real will of doing so, this marriage is invalid. Invalid. They have no right to limit the number of their children. To limit so rigorously without any grave reason, makes this invalid.

40:05 …Even if we must be criticized, be mocked, be laughed at in the streets… “What is this family with 7, 10, 15 children? How ridiculous! What a scandal!” Even if we must be pointed out and called insane and mad by these grave diggers of marriage and family.

41:20 Homosexuality and Civil Unions…

48:00 With Vatican II and the [doctrine of] religious liberty; “with all false religions” said Archbishop LeFebvre, “bring with themselves immorality”. In the Islamic religion, it is well known that one husband can have up to 5 wives. It is allowed. And also, protestant denominations do not recognize the indissolubility of marriage. Many people who are our “separated brethren” say “we get married, but if it does not work, we have the possibility of divorce.” It is this saying that makes of this marriage, and invalid marriage also. Invalid. To marry with the idea of divorcing if it doesn’t work. It is invalid. So dear friends, let’s have the true idea of marriage. And let us react against these awful dangers that threaten the Christian marriage. Let us fight against these grave diggers of marriage.

50:28 Catholic People need Catholic laws, and Catholic government. And here in America, why could that not be the case? In some states in America, there is almost a majority of Catholics. Why could it not exist a catholic state? And Catholic laws, that is laws which encourage the religion, marriage, the family, schools. Yes? We must fight for this ideal of the Catholic State. The reign of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the political life. In the social life. You must understand, our lord must not reign only in the churches and in the sacristies, no. He must reign everywhere. In society, in the politics, through our laws which correspond to the gospel. This is normal. It is our fight. Our Catholic Fight.

*Video* Econe: The Priests For Tomorrow

Vox Catholica

In the wake of the devastation of the Second Vatican Council, one bishop, Archbishop Marcel LeFebvre, stood up against these changes and held fast to the Catholic Faith of all time. In 1970, Archbishop LeFebvre founded the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) as a religious order, operating within the Catholic Church, with provisional approbation from +François Charrière, Bishop of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg.

The provisional status of the SSPX was rescinded by Bishop Charrière's successor, Bishop Pierre Mamie, and Archbishop LeFebvre was unable to appeal this un-just decision.

Although some say that the SSPX is in an "irregular" canonical position, it is evident that the Society is Catholic, teaches the true doctrine of the Catholic Church, and celebrates the Mass of All time as approved by the Church.

More details on the Society can be found at www.SSPX.org Now, more than ever, it is more and more evident that Archbishop LeFebvre was right, and that the church (or at least her leaders) has gone astray.

Pope Francis has recently denied the existence of Hell, and been presented with "Dubia" about his apostolic exhortation "Amoris Laetitia," and hundreds of other theologians have signed a "Correction Filialis" which accuses the Pope of allowing the propogation of heresy.

People like Jesuit priest Father James Martin run around the church actively normalizing the "LGBT Community," and encouraging the destruction of the family, and the USCCB has been caught funding Pro-LGBT and Pro-Abortion left-wing activist groups. We need faithful groups like the SSPX now, more than ever during this crisis in the world and in the Church.
